The Evangelical Christian Church Single’s Ministry, started in November 2008, seeks to encourage spiritual growth, social connection and as a result, service to the community.
When the ministry started in 2008, it was found that while the church had relatively large group of single adults over the age of 21, many of the singles did not have a chance to know one another. The Singles Ministry immediately focused on events that could help foster fellowship among the single adults.
The second Saturday night or Sunday afternoon of each month is earmarked for the monthly event. Each event provides a wonderful atmosphere and can vary from having a special speaker visit, taking a trip to New York City to attend the evening church services in Times Square, to wine tasting in the Litchfield Hills. As time passes, the ministry expects to enhance outreach to the community of Waterbury.
